Qld: Six feared dead in fiery crash

BRISBANE, Feb 8 AAP - Up to six people have been killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash
in central Queensland.

The vehicles crashed on the Bruce Highway at St Lawrence, between Rockhampton and Mackay,
shortly before 4pm (AEST) on Sunday, police said.

A 25-year-old woman has been taken by helicopter to Mackay in a serious condition with
internal injuries and a broken pelvis.

A spokesman for the the RACQ CQ Rescue chopper said a passing female student paramedic
had offered life-saving aid at the scene.
